Job summary

Vickerstock is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a leading food manufacturing site in Kildare. The role leads the site engineering and maintenance team, drives equipment reliability and oversees CAPEX implementations.

You will manage budgets, ensure health & safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with Production, Operations and Procurement to boost site performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, equipment reliability and breakdown management.
• Experience managing budgets and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the site Engineering and Maintenance team.
• Oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programmes to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Ensure breakdowns and production issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
• Manage engineering budgets, maintenance costs, contractors and external service providers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant performance and operational efficiency.
• Oversee engineering stores, spare parts inventory and maintenance systems.
• Lead capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects from planning through to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with Production, Operations, Procurement and Group Engineering teams to support site performance.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing site engineering and maintenance operations, improving equipment reliability, leading engineering projects and driving continuous improvement across the facility.
