Job summary

Wallace Myers International is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor/Coordinator for a major food and nutrition site in Co. Cavan.

You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, manage resources, and act as the link between engineering, production and external contractors.   • Proven experience in maintenance planning, coordination, or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations and maintenance systems.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Good level of IT literacy with CMMS systems experience.
  • Proactive, solution‑focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule all planned and reactive maintenance activities on site.
  • Act as the main point of contact between maintenance, production, and other departments.
  • Manage and prioritise work orders, ensuring accurate planning and execution.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to allocate resources and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Schedule preventative and demand maintenance in line with production requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history within the system.
  • Monitor KPIs relating to equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
  • Support shutdown planning and execution activities.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor / Coordinator to join a leading food and nutrition organisation at their site in Co. Cavan.

This role will suit a proactive and organised individual who can coordinate maintenance activities, manage resources, and act as the key link between engineering, production, and external contractors. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability and driving maintenance efficiency across the site.
