Job summary

McArdle Skeath Limited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and support maintenance operations across its Dublin and Monaghan facilities. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance of buildings, utilities, plant, equipment, and critical infrastructure while leading a team and coordinating external contractors.

The role requires overseeing maintenance budgets, schedules, and supplier relationships, with a focus on asset reliability and continuous improvement.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and support maintenance operations across our Dublin and Monaghan facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance of buildings, utilities, plant, equipment, and critical infrastructure while leading a team of maintenance personnel and managing external contractors.

Key role responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support the internal maintenance team in delivering planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance operations across both Dublin and Monaghan facilities, ensuring high levels of asset reliability and operational uptime.
• Coordinate and oversee external contractors, service providers, and equipment suppliers.
• Ensure contractor and vendor activities meet regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and statutory obligations.
• Manage maintenance schedules, work priorities, and resource allocation to support business needs.
• Monitor contractor performance and manage maintenance contracts, service agreements, and supplier relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiencies and asset performance across both facilities.
• Manage maintenance records, inspections, permits to work, and engineering documentation.
• Support audits, inspections, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support out-of-hours maintenance emergencies and critical business continuity incidents when required.
• Manage maintenance budgets, expenditure, and spare parts inventories.
• Drive equipment reliability improvements through effective problem solving and root cause analysis.
