Job summary

CREGG in Shannon, Co Clare, is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance of injection moulding and production equipment, driving uptime and continuous improvement across the plant. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of injection moulding and tooling, and the ability to develop the engineering/maintenance team and deliver machine upgrades.

You will work closely with operations to identify opportunities, implement preventive maintenance,

Qualifications

Strong injection moulding and tooling knowledge.
Excellent maintenance, machine-repair and fault-finding skills.
Hands-on mechanical and technical ability.
Experience with machine upgrades and equipment improvements.
A strong continuous improvement mindset.
Good computer and data-analysis skills.
Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership, people-management and communication skills.
Ability to influence others and lead change.
Practical, pragmatic, hands-on approach.
Relevant engineering or technical qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Own preventative and reactive maintenance, machine repairs, fault finding and root-cause analysis.
Lead machine upgrades, modifications and equipment improvements.
Collaborate with injection moulding, tooling, automation and robotics to improve uptime and production performance.
Develop maintenance processes and lead the engineering/maintenance team.
