Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is partnering with a Cork-based global engineering and automation technology company to recruit an Automation Engineer. You will lead design, commission and validation of machine vision solutions and provide technical input to sales quotations to ensure accurate costing and alignment with customer requirements.

Reporting to the Vision Delivery Manager, you will travel in Ireland and occasionally abroad, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and develop

Qualifications

Engineering degree or higher in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Experience working on multi-discipline projects.
Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).
Knowledge of FDA, GAMP or regulatory standards for regulated industries is advantageous.
Experience designing and deploying machine vision solutions is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, installation, commissioning and validation of machine vision elements of solutions.
Act as Vision SME to assist sales with site surveys and quotation preparation.
Capture and feedback customer URS and technical requirements for accurate quoting.
Coordinate with Sales to ensure complete information for costed quotations.
Travel within Ireland and occasionally abroad to customer sites or vendor facilities.
Develop regulatory documents such as FDS and system validation documents.
