Job summary

Catalyx in Ireland is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead design, commissioning and validation of machine vision solutions for regulated industries. You will work across hardware, software and automation, supporting sales with accurate quotations and ensuring customer requirements are met.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations and QA, travel within Ireland, and occasionally abroad. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge vision tech, regulatory documentation, and project

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in an engineering discipline (electrical, electronic or mechanical preferred).
• Experience working on multi-discipline projects.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, installation, commissioning and validation of vision, electrical, software and automation elements at customer site or machine builder facility.
• Act as Vision SME; assist sales in pre-sales activities including site surveys and quote preparation.
• Understand customer URS and provide a technical solution; feed back into documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales to ensure information is available to cost a complete quotation.
• Travel within Ireland and rare travel abroad; liaise with customers and suppliers.
