Job summary

Aer Lingus is seeking an M&E Graduate to develop early-career talent through structured learning and hands-on operations support. The role covers Maintenance & Engineering to ensure aircraft, ground systems and operations meet safety and efficiency standards, including both day and night shifts.

You will work on airworthiness tasks, compliance processes and continuous improvement initiatives within the Technical - Engineering division.

Qualifications

  • On track to achieve or have recently completed a relevant Engineering Degree (aeronautical or related).
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills across levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and proactive collaboration.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, data management or analytics.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU with a valid EU passport.
  • Provide three verifiable references and pass a five-year security background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing airworthiness of A320, A321 and A330 aircraft.
  • Assess and review airworthiness instructions (ADs, SBs, VSBs, CMMs).
  • Oversee approval for modifications and repairs.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Standards to close audit findings.
  • Prepare business cases and conduct risk assessments.
  • Generate reports on reliability metrics and dispatch reliability.
  • Collaborate with Type Certificate Holder and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • Engage in root-cause analysis and issue resolution for LRUs.
  • Establish processes to maintain airworthiness compliance.
  • Support transformation programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in reliability improvement projects as required.

Role title

M &E Graduate

Your role

As a M&E Graduate, you will develop early-career talent by combining structured learning with practical, on-the-job experience, while also providing meaningful support to the organisation’s operations. Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring that all aircraft, ground support systems, and critical technical operations are functioning properly, supporting the airline’s operational efficiency and safety during overnight hours. This role will involve both day and night shift.

Your responsibilities as a M&E Graduate will include:
  • Manage the ongoing airworthiness of A320, A321 and A330 series aircraft.
  • Assess Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA), such as:
    Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
    Service Bulletins (SBs).
    Vendor Service Bulletins (VSBs). Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), and others.
  • Oversee and review the approval process for modifications and repairs.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Standards teams to address and close
    audit findings.
  • Prepare business cases and conduct risk assessments as necessary.
  • Generate reports on Aircraft Reliability Metrics and Technical Dispatch Reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Type Certificate Holder and Original Equipment.
  • Manufacturer (OEM) for LRU root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Establish and enforce processes and procedures to maintain compliance with airworthiness regulations.
  • Support the Transformation programme and contribute to the development of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in Reliability improvement projects for continuous improvement, as required.
Your qualifications and key criteria

We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:

  • On track to achieve or have recently completed a relevant Engineering Degree (aeronautical or other studies related to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft/aircraft components).
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with others at various levels across the department as well as sharing ideas and information.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with ability to take initiative and assist colleagues unprompted.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, Data management or Analytics.
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment and keep pace with change – acquiring knowledge/skills as the business develops.
  • Understands the transition from student life to working life.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide three verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a five-year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.
