Job summary

Ryanair is seeking a Maintenance Programme Engineer to join Europe’s largest airline group. The role is desk-based with the option to base in Dublin or Madrid, reporting to the Maintenance Programs Manager and ideal for a recent graduate aiming to kick start a career in Ryanair.

The successful candidate will review MPD/MRB, optimise maintenance programs for safety and reliability, and contribute to ongoing MRB/MPD improvements. Opportunity for career progression and international exposure.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or EASA Part 66 license required.
  • Experience in Technical Services/CAMO or Engine MRO preferable.
  • Understanding of EASA Part M, Part CAMO and Part 145 regulation.
  • Knowledge of Boeing 737 systems or Airbus A320 experience advantageous.
  • Knowledge of MSG-3 & maintenance program methodologies (SASMO, OPTIMA) advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of EASA regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with AMOS recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Review MPD and MRB to ensure accurate integration into Ryanair's Group Maintenance Program for B737NG/8200/A320/CL 3500 fleets.
  • Ensure maintenance program is optimised to maintain safety, reliability and minimize operational impact of defects.
  • Work with Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition procedures and company manuals.
  • Review Heavy Maintenance findings and identify solutions for repeat issues.
  • Submit and obtain Aviation Authority approval of maintenance programs when required.
  • Develop detailed reports to support program optimisation.
  • Provide input to industry steering committees on MRB/MPD optimisation.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Program Manager.

Job Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Programme Engineer to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

This is a very exciting time to join Ryanair as we look to expand our operation to 800 aircraft and 300 million guests within the next 10 years.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Maintenance Programs Manager. This role is a desk-based role and has the option to be based in our Engineering Office in Dublin or Madrid.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate looking to kick start their career in Ryanair.

The Role:

  • Review of the Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) and Maintenance Review Board (MRB) to ensure accurate implementation into the Ryanair’s Group Maintenance Program for B737NG/8200/A320 /CL 3500 fleets, as applicable.
  • Ensure that the maintenance program is optimised to maintain the high safety levels, excellent dispatch reliability and avoid/ mitigate operational impact of in-service defects;
  • Work in accordance with Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), company manual procedures
  • Review of Heavy Maintenance findings and the identification of solutions for repeat occurrences;
  • Submission and obtaining of Aviation Authority approval of the Ryanair’s Group Maintenance Programs when required;
  • Development of detailed reports to support the optimisation of the Ryanair’s Maintenance Programs;
  • Providing input to the B737NG/8200/A320 Industry Steering Committee (ISC) regarding on‑going optimisation of the MRB/MPD;
  • Additional responsibilities may be delegated periodically by the Maintenance Program Manager.
Qualifications
  • Relevant Engineering Degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance license
  • Experience in a Technical Services / CAMO role or Engine MRO would be preferable.
  • Understanding of EASA Part M, Part CAMO and Part 145 regulation
  • Technical knowledge of Boeing 737 systems and/or Airbus 320 experience would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of MSG-3 & Maintenance Program optimisation methodologies (e.g. SASMO, OPTIMA) would be an advantage;
  • Sound knowledge of EASA regulatory requirements;
  • Good working knowledge of AMOS would be preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience writing or reviewing technical instructions
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and make decisions in a busy, fast‑paced environment
