Job summary

DMG Engineering Ltd. is seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Estimators to support tendering and procurement across Ireland. The role covers reviewing documents, preparing detailed take-offs, and generating Bills of Quantities within tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years' experience in estimating and/or procurement for M&E/building services, with strong Excel and estimating software skills, and excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in estimating and/or procurement within M&E/building services.
• Strong take-off, tendering, and bill of quantities skills, with confident use of Excel and estimating software.
• Ability to read technical drawings and contract documentation accurately.
• Strong negotiation skills and a track record securing competitive supplier pricing.
• High attention to detail and solid numerical/analytical ability.
• Comfortable managing multiple tenders and purchase orders under tight deadlines.
• Strong communicator, confident liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing Tender Documents, Drawings & Specifications
• Processing ‘take off’s’ from Tender Documents to garner information for materials required
• Assessing quotations based on price & suitability for each Tender
• Preparation of Tender & Contract Documentation i.e. Bills of Quantities & Schedules of rates
• Preparing Construction Budgets
• Completion of Final Tender Documentation for return to client within stringent deadlines
