Job summary

GEDON™ | Precision Search for Complex Construction is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join their international cost advisory practice. The role spans the full project lifecycle, with focus on mechanical and electrical services across diverse infrastructure and construction schemes in Ireland and Europe.

You will contribute to cost planning, budgeting, valuation, procurement support and final accounts, working with designers, contractors and clients to deliver

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor or M&E Cost Manager within construction or cost consultancy.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical services cost management across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience across Data Centres, Education, Transport, Commercial or similarly technical project types is advantageous.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Professional membership (e.g. SCSI/RICS) or working towards chartership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated cost management support for mechanical and electrical services across a range of infrastructure and construction projects
• Prepare cost plans, estimates and budgets for M&E packages at all project stages
• Carry out measurement, valuations and interim payment assessments for M&E works
• Support procurement of M&E packages, including tender analysis and contractor recommendations
• Manage variations, change control and final account preparation for M&E elements
• Liaise closely with design teams, contractors and clients to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting
• Benchmark M&E costs and contribute to continuous improvement of cost management processes
