A leading international consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior M&E Cost Consultant / Associate Director to join its expanding Dublin team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take a leading role in delivering complex public and private sector projects while supporting the growth and development of the business.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will manage client relationships, oversee project delivery, mentor junior team members and provide expert commercial advice across a diverse portfolio of M&E projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial delivery of M&E cost management commissions from feasibility through to final account.
- Provide strategic cost advice, reporting and commercial guidance to clients.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities for M&E works, including medium and high-voltage infrastructure projects.
- Manage pre-contract cost planning, tender documentation, bid analysis and procurement activities.
- Oversee post-contract commercial management, including cost reporting, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Lead project teams to ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to the highest professional standards.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat business.
- Mentor and support junior cost consultants, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Work closely with senior management to drive project performance, financial control and business growth.
- Represent the business professionally in meetings, negotiations and client presentations.
About You
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Chartered with the SCSI or actively progressing towards chartership.
- A minimum of two years' technical delivery experience within an M&E Cost Consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of Irish public sector procurement and M&E projects.
- Experience administering both pre- and post-contract services, including PW-CF forms of contract.
- Proven ability to manage project costs, commercial risks and contract negotiations.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially focused with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience with CostX is desirable but not essential.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to successfully complete Garda Vetting and Security Clearance procedures where required.
