Job summary

Sheen Falls Lodge is recruiting a Reservations Agent to join our luxury team in Ireland. You will handle guest enquiries, provide personalised assistance, and convert enquiries into reservations while upselling room categories and packages to maximise revenue.

Based in a five‑star environment, you will work closely with Front Office, Sales and Revenue teams, ensure accuracy in Hotsoft bookings, and uphold exceptional guest service from first contact through departure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year's experience in a similar reservations position.
• Excellent spoken and written English, with confident and professional communication.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Warm, professional and guest-focused approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Good commercial awareness with confidence to maximise reservations and revenue.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with hotel reservation systems; knowledge of Hotsoft desirable.
• Experience with D-Edge or similar Channel Manager advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for guests, providing knowledgeable assistance with accommodation options, rates, packages and itineraries.
• Manage telephone, email and online reservation enquiries in a professional, efficient and welcoming manner.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed reservations while upselling and cross-selling room categories, packages and experiences.
• Accurately create, amend and maintain guest reservations within Hotsoft, recording guest preferences and requests.
• Manage room rates and availability across distribution channels using D-Edge Channel Manager.
• Develop knowledge of the hotel, categories, dining options, packages and experiences to assist guests throughout booking.
• Build relationships with guests and deliver a highly personalised level of service.
• Liaise with Front Office, Sales, Revenue and other departments to ensure seamless guest journey from reservation to arrival.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Represent the standards and values of Sheen Falls Lodge.
