Job summary

Teamworx Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer for a prestigious luxury retailer based in Cork City Centre. The role focuses on supporting sourcing, selection and management of premium product collections while working closely with the Buying Manager.

The successful candidate will build supplier relationships, monitor stock and sales performance, and provide commercial insights to optimise ranges and profitability. Previous buying experience is essential and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous buying experience is essential.
• Experience in luxury retail is advantageous but not required.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to analyse performance.

Responsibilities

• Support Buying Manager in sourcing and purchasing product collections.
• Develop relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and brand partners.
• Monitor sales, stock levels and category performance across locations.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to provide insights.
• Maintain product, pricing and supplier information in systems.
• Coordinate orders, track deliveries and stock distribution.
• Assist in developing commercially balanced product ranges.
• Collaborate with retail and marketing teams for launches and merchandising.
