Job summary

As a Luggage Porter you will welcome guests, assist with luggage, escort guests to rooms, and provide information on local attractions while maintaining a pristine lobby and supporting the Front Office team in

Qualifications

• Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel's Front Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full clean driver's license.
• Knowledge of Opera is desired but not essential.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
• Flexible hours, shift work required.
• Guest service experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival and farewell on departure.
• Assist with delivery, collection, and storage of guest luggage.
• Escort guests to rooms and explain hotel facilities.
• Respond to guest enquiries and provide assistance as needed.
• Provide information on local attractions, amenities, and transport options.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming entrance and lobby area.
• Support the Front Office team with arrivals and departures.
• Handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
• Follow all hotel health, safety, and security procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

We are currently recruiting for a Luggage Porter to join our Front Office Team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests on arrival and wish them a fond farewell on departure.
• Assist with the delivery, collection, and storage of guest luggage.
• Escort guests to their rooms and explain hotel facilities.
• Respond to guest enquiries and provide assistance as needed.
• Provide information on local attractions, amenities, and transport options.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming entrance and lobby area.
• Support the Front Office team with guest arrivals and departures.
• Handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
• Follow all hotel health, safety, and security procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Key Requirements:

• Have previous experience in a 4 or 5* hotel in a Front Office role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full clean drivers licence.
• Knowledge of Opera desired but not essential.
• The ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
• A flexible approach to work hours (shift work required)
• Previous Guest Service experience desired.
