  • Managing the staggered daily load‑out operation between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • Ensuring every route is safely resourced and all deliveries leave on time.
  • Conducting regular pre‑route and post‑route briefings with the driver team.
  • Managing driver performance through clear expectations, regular one‑to‑ones, coaching and development.
  • Producing rotas at least four weeks in advance and maintaining appropriate contingency plans for absence.
  • Supporting the recruitment, induction and training of new drivers.
  • Working closely with the People team on employee relations, absence and holiday management.
  • Ensuring compliance with Irish road transport legislation, drivers’ hours, tachograph requirements and Road Safety Authority guidance.
  • Making sure vehicle checks, maintenance records, incident reports and transport management systems are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitoring operational KPIs, route performance, delivery windows and data‑capture standards.
  • Managing the logistics operation within budget, including purchase orders, invoices and third‑party suppliers.
  • Reducing vehicle damage and operating costs through effective driver training and performance management.
  • Ensuring all vehicles meet our safety, cleanliness, hygiene and brand standards.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues across Manufacturing, Operations, People, Marketing and the wider business.
What We’re Looking For
  • A recognised CPC in Transport Management – this is essential.
  • Previous management or leadership experience within transport, distribution or logistics.
  • A strong working knowledge of transport compliance, drivers’ hours, tachographs and vehicle safety requirements.
  • Experience leading and developing a driver team within a fast‑paced operation.
  • The flexibility to support an early‑morning, staggered load‑out operation between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance people, compliance, service and cost priorities.
