Job summary

You will handle general admin, respond to inquiries, communicate with drivers and suppliers, maximise fleet utilisation, and produce reports for the warehouse team to support timely loading and offloading of cargo.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the logistics and transport sector.

• Proficient in PC systems and transport operating software.
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport regulations.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Good problem-solving skills and good geographical knowledge of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Plan, arrange, monitor, and control all aspects of distribution planning.
• Support haulage planning across national routes.
• Ensure compliance with company quality policies and objectives, maintaining KPIs.
• Carry out general administrative duties, including event management, invoicing, filing, handling queries, claims, and cost checking in line with departmental requirements.
• Respond promptly to general enquiries, escalating issues where necessary.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, drivers, suppliers, and other offices.
• Maximise the efficient utilisation of the vehicle fleet.
• Prepare accurate documentation for the warehouse team to support the timely loading and offloading of cargo.
• Produce reports and KPIs as required.
• Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
