Job summary

Corlann West Region is seeking a Locum Relief Support Worker to cover Galway City and County, with placements in centre-based residential/day centres or community settings as needed. Role focuses on personal care, and supporting individuals to achieve planned outcomes.

Reporting to the Staff Nurse in charge / Team Leader / Team Manager / Service Coordinator, candidates should have good English, a relevant qualification, and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Good general education required.
• Qualification in intellectual disability or FETAC level 5 advantageous.
• Full clean manual driving licence; class D1 may be required in future.
• Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disability desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care during the day (meals, hygiene, etc.).
• Assist and support people on Individual Plans and outcomes.
• Support community participation and integration for those served.
• Report to Staff Nurse / Team Leader / Team Manager / Service Coordinator.
