The Leisure Centre Duty Manager at Faithlegg oversees the Estuary Leisure Club's day-to-day operations with a strong focus on pool operations, guest safety and hygiene standards. You will support the Leisure Centre Manager to deliver exceptional experiences and achieve financial targets across all facilities including pool, spa and gym.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in hotel leisure or pool environments and hold NSSPC, IWS/ILAM lifeguard qualifications, plus strong

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a hotel leisure centre or pool environment.
• Strong knowledge of pool plant operations and health & safety standards.
• IWS/ILAM Pool Lifeguard or equivalent qualification.
• National Swimming and Spa Pool Certificate (NSSPC).
• NCEHS/NCEF Fitness Instructor qualification or equivalent desirable.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Passion for fitness and guest service.
• High level of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the leisure centre ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
• Supervise poolside operations including water quality testing, pool plant monitoring, hygiene compliance and lifeguard standards.
• Ensure all leisure areas and facilities are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
• Support and supervise leisure centre team members and assist with training and development.
• Deliver swimming lessons where required.
• Promote memberships, fitness programmes and hotel leisure services to maximise revenue.
• Assist in controlling departmental costs, stock management and budget targets.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and hotel policies.
• Handle guest and member queries professionally and efficiently.
• Support the Leisure Centre Manager with planning and ad hoc tasks.

Job description

The Leisure Centre Duty Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel's Estuary Leisure Club, with a strong focus on pool operations, guest/member safety and hygiene standards. The role supports the Leisure Centre Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, achieving financial targets and maintaining the highest standards across all leisure facilities including the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gym.

The role:

• Oversee daily operations of the leisure centre ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
• Supervise poolside operations including water quality testing, pool plant monitoring, hygiene compliance and lifeguard standards.
• Ensure all leisure areas, changing rooms, gym and pool facilities are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
• Support and supervise leisure centre team members and assist with training and development.
• Deliver swimming lessons where required.

• Strong knowledge of pool plant operations and leisure facility health & safety standards.
• IWS/ILAM Pool Lifeguard or equivalent qualification
• National Swimming and Spa Pool Certificate (NSSPC)
• A nationally recognised NCEHS/NCEF Fitness Instructors qualification or equivalent desirable
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
