About the Role
The successful candidate will provide a high level of secretarial and administrative support to a team of solicitors and fee earners within the Commercial Real Estate department. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners within the Commercial Real Estate team.
- Preparing, formatting and amending legal documentation and correspondence.
- Managing busy diaries, arranging meetings and coordinating appointments.
- Opening and maintaining files, ensuring documentation and records are kept accurately and efficiently.
- Assisting with the preparation of documentation for property transactions.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and emails.
- Liaising professionally with clients, solicitors, colleagues and other external parties.
- Assisting with billing, time recording and other financial administration where required.
- Managing deadlines and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive client and transaction information.
- Providing general administrative support to the wider team as required.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Commercial Real Estate, Property or a related practice area.
- Previous experience working within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, proactive and positive approach.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- A client-focused approach and the ability to build strong working relationships with fee earners and colleagues.
- Commercial Real Estate experience is highly desirable, although candidates with strong Legal Secretary experience in another relevant area of private practice may also be considered.
