Job summary

VOID Interactive Ltd. is seeking a Lead Engineer to guide a remote, globally distributed team in building robust gameplay features using Unreal Engine 5.

You will shape technical roadmaps, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, network-friendly systems while collaborating across disciplines to deliver milestones on time. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in game development, 4+ years of leadership, and deep expertise in C++, multiplayer architectures, and Unreal Engine.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional game development experience.
• 4+ years managing engineering teams.
• Strong C++ and math skills.
• Understanding of multiplayer games, replication, and client-server or other authority architectures.
• Experience shipping at least one AAA console title.
• Recent professional experience working with Unreal Engine.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, performance considerations and code quality practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and feedback.
• Develop flexible, scalable, network-friendly gameplay systems.
• Identify and reduce technical risk in execution and scheduling.
• Set and promote standards, design principles, software architecture, processes and work patterns.
• Collaborate with production and leadership to estimate, plan and deliver milestones on time.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
