VOID Interactive Ltd is seeking a Lead Engineer to guide a remote, 90+ person studio developing immersive gameplay in Unreal Engine 5. You will define the technical roadmap, collaborate across disciplines, and drive major systems for our projects in a remote-first environment.

The role emphasizes leading engineers, shipping AAA-style features, and balancing product vision with technical excellence while coordinating with production and leadership teams to plan milestones.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional game development experience.
• 4+ years managing engineering teams.
• Strong C++ and math skills.
• Understanding of multiplayer games, replication, and client-server or other authority architectures.
• Experience shipping at least one AAA console title.
• Recent experience with Unreal Engine.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and code quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and collaborate with a strong team of engineers, providing technical guidance.
• Develop flexible, scalable, network-friendly gameplay systems.
• Identify and reduce technical risk in execution and schedules.
• Set and promote standards, design principles, and architecture across the team.
• Work with production to estimate, plan and deliver milestones on time.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
