Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs. You will build secure, scalable software and support RESTful interfaces across internal platforms.

Collaborate with product owners, architects, and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, participate in reviews and releases, and uphold security and compliance standards throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on backend software engineering experience.
• Strong Java or Python programming skills.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs with microservices.
• Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD, testing, and production support.
• Experience with SQL and data stores; Git and Unix/Linux basics.
• Understanding secure coding practices and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integration components.
