Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Engineer for the Ireland Roads team to design and manage road and active travel schemes from Dublin, Limerick or Naas offices. The role leads concept through detailed design for major national schemes and requires a proven delivery track record in the transport sector.

The successful candidate will be client-facing, lead and grow a multi-disciplinary team, develop staff, and contribute to fee proposals and budgets while ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• Project management and technical delivery lead experience of road/public transport/active travel schemes essential.
• Experience with Public Works Contracts or similar contract administration.
• Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution.
• Experience or knowledge of alignment and drainage design software such as Civil3D/Open Roads/WinDes preferred.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Project.
• Understanding of DMURS, Highway Geometric Design and NTA/TII guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects ensuring coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs.
• Liaising with clients and managing expectations.
• Undertake project technical lead and reviewer roles.
• Develop staff and provide guidance.
• Prepare fee proposals and manage budgets.
• Deliver discrete and overall project solutions.
• Lead and manage staff in delivery of design drawings and tender packages.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and QA standards.
