Job summary

WSP Ireland seeks a Principal Engineer to lead road and active travel design and project management from Dublin, Limerick or Naas. You will guide a growing team through concept, preliminary and detailed design to handover, ensuring value and quality.

You will work closely with clients to deliver major national schemes and ensure compliance with standards and best practice across transport projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading road/public transport/active travel schemes
• Chartered membership with a relevant engineering institution
• Knowledge of RTAs/NTAs procedures is essential

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-disciplinary inputs across projects of varying scale and value
• Liaise with clients and manage expectations
• Provide technical lead and review
• Develop staff and mentor juniors
• Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets
• Deliver design drawings, specifications and BOQ for tender packages
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and QA processes
