Job summary

WSP Ireland is seeking an Engineer to lead and grow a team delivering road, public transport and active travel schemes from Dublin, Limerick or Naas offices. You will manage projects from inception to handover, overseeing design, budgets and client relations.

The role emphasizes project leadership, bid/tender preparation, staff development and adherence to health and safety standards, with hybrid working options and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading road/public transport/active travel schemes and delivering schemes in national/local transport contexts (TII/NT A).
• Experience or knowledge of contract document preparation or contract administration/site supervision using Public Works Contracts.
• Chartered engineer with a relevant technical institution.
• Knowledge of alignment and drainage design software such as Civil3D/Open Roads and WinDes preferred.
• Strong communication and client management skills are essential.
• Understanding of current design standards including DMURS, Traffic Signs Manual, Cycle Design Manual, and TII/NTA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to ensure coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs on schemes of varying scale and value.
• Liaise with clients, build trusted relationships, and manage expectations.
• Undertake project technical lead and reviewer roles.
