Job summary

Obelisk in Naas, Co Kildare, is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on projects. You will own budgets, forecasts, and cashflow, and work with Operations and Finance to protect revenue and maximise gross margin.

You will manage measurements, variations, final accounts, invoicing readiness, and reporting, while coaching the Commercial Administrator and ensuring rigorous contract administration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Proven quantity surveying and commercial management experience in telecoms or utilities.
• Experience taking ownership of budgets, forecasts, work-in-progress, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using commercial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly and monthly work-in-progress and project financial reviews, explain variances and agree actions.
• Manage project budgets, committed and actual costs, revenue and gross margin with Operations/Finance.
• Prepare, issue and track quotations for additional, varied and out-of-scope works.
• Oversee commercial input to tenders and bids, including pricing and risks.
• Oversee commercial systems, document control and portal accuracy.
