Job summary

Cpl Group is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead a team within our client's Asset Management Technology group. You will be a hands-on developer contributing to building a suite of Micro-Services and UIs for retirement and college savings solutions.

You will drive design, implementation and quality, working in an Agile environment with cross-functional stakeholders. Extensive Java/SpringBoot experience and cloud exposure are essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent.
• A minimum of 10 years of design & development experience.
• Experience in Java, SpringBoot, RESTful services and Angular.
• DevOps enablers such as Maven and Jenkins.
• Karate, Playwright, Storybook or similar testing frameworks is a plus.
• Experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL.
• Exposure to AWS or Kubernetes would be advantageous.
• Kafka or similar messaging frameworks would be beneficial.
• Investment Management/domain insight is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team within the Asset Management Technology group.
• Hands-on development contributing to a suite of Micro-Services and UIs.
• Design and implement technical solutions for Asset Management Solutions.
• Promote best practices across CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile environment to deliver value.
