Job summary

Fidelity Ireland is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead a squad in the Asset Management Technology group. You will be a hands-on developer, contributing to a suite of micro-services and UIs for retirement and college saving solutions.

The role requires a decade of design and development experience, strong Java/Spring Boot/Angular skills, and familiarity with DevOps (Maven/Jenkins). Hybrid work with gradual return to office from 2027 onward.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of design and development experience.
• Experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services and Angular.
• Maven and Jenkins for DevOps enablement.
• Exposure to AWS or Kubernetes is a plus; Kafka experience is beneficial.

You will be a hands-on developer contributing to building a suite of Micro-Services and UIs. Our team is responsible for designing & implementing technical solutions for the Fidelity Asset Management Solutions division which provides retirement and college saving solutions.## ## The Expertise and Skills You Bring## ## You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent and you want to learn more.* ## A minimum of 10 years of design & development experience.* ## Experience in Java, SpringBoot, RESTful services and Angular or similar* ## DevOps enablers such as Maven and Jenkins* ## Karate, Playwright, Storybook or similar testing frameworks is a plus* ## As well as experience in Oracle SQL & PLSQL* ## Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Kubernetes would be an advantage* ## Messaging frameworks such as Kafka would be good but not necessary* ## Investment Management/Business Domain business insight would be advantage, but it is not required.## ## ## You enjoy working in Agile Teams, focused on delivering incremental business value.
