Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing Power & Renewables team in Ireland. You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of complex projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, leading project teams to achieve safety, schedule, and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field; or recognised electrical trade qualification.
• Professional qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or equivalent desirable.
• 5+ years’ experience delivering HV Power and Renewable projects (e.g., BESS, substations).
• Experience delivering projects safely, on programme, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Power & Renewables projects.
• Develop and manage project execution strategies, programmes, resources and delivery plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, compliant with HSE and company standards.
• Own project budgets, cost control, contract administration and variations.
• Manage risks and opportunities with mitigation plans.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as primary contact during delivery.
• Oversee subcontractors, procurement, and supply chain performance.
• Coordinate with engineering, commercial, quality and site teams for efficient delivery.
• Monitor progress and provide accurate reporting; escalate where needed.
• Lead project review meetings and capture lessons learned for future projects.
