Job summary

ESB is seeking a Projects and Overhauls Specialist Lead—Mechanical within ESB Engineering & Major Projects in Ireland. The role leads a mechanical engineering team delivering overhaul projects for ESB G&T, spanning gas and steam turbine, HRSG, boiler, piping and related plant assets.

The successful candidate will oversee design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover phases, ensure safety compliance, and mentor staff in asset management and project execution while traveling

Qualifications

Proven track record in the power generation or heavy industrial sector.
Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience required.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management with ability to lead teams and influence through communication.

Responsibilities

Manage the mechanical engineering team in OH project delivery from inception to handover.
Support OH planning and programme delivery for safe and efficient overhaul works.
Lead development of team knowledge in power generation asset types and safety methodologies.
Liaise with Generation Asset Specialists and project managers across all OH programme phases.
Ensure compliance with ESB safety standards and audit reporting during projects.
