Job summary

RED, a part of Tractebel, invites applications for an Associate to lead major M&E projects from our Dublin or Cork offices. You will supervise multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate the design and delivery of electrical and mechanical systems across various building types, and deliver technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

You will contribute to feasibility studies, fee bids, and client liaison, while ensuring health and safety, contractual compliance, and robust project controls.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• MCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + appropriate experience or equivalent
• Chartered Eng status
• Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Ability to use calculation and spreadsheet software
• Good understanding of BS standards/UK regulations/codes
• Experience and understanding of invoicing and credit control
• Ability to prioritise own workload
• Leadership and mentoring skills
• Presentation and facilitation skills
• Background in consulting or construction preferred
• Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy
• Act in an ethical manner and follow Ethics Charter guidelines

Responsibilities

• Manage major projects and lead design coordination for building engineering services
• Prepare cost and fee proposals and review project status with stakeholders
• Produce project reports for management and clients
• Develop and specify applications of controls and operating systems
• Survey tests and report on existing installations
• Ensure designs meet industry and legal standards
• Represent the company at technical meetings with clients and contractors
• Provide day-to-day decision making and client liaison
• Monitor risk and performance through internal controls
• Lead coordination of engineering services
• Apply engineering concepts holistically to solutions
• Support delivery per RED Project Delivery Process
