Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Dublin seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead MEP design for commercial and residential projects, delivering robust HVAC, plumbing and fire protection solutions.

You will collaborate with architects, structural and electrical engineers, developing drawings and reports that comply with regulations and standards. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience are required, with AutoCAD/Vit and hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience for commercial/residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP design standards, codes, and building regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit MEP or similar design software.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of MEP systems for commercial and residential buildings.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specs, and reports per local regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, structural and electrical engineers.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery from concept to completion.
