Job summary

Design Build Search is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Dublin. You will lead mechanical building services design for energy, industrial and commercial projects within a multidisciplinary consultancy, covering base-build systems and complex facilities.

You will manage the full project lifecycle from concept to handover, mentor engineers, and ensure deliverables meet technical and QA standards. The role is hybrid, with office attendance as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• 7+ years’ experience in mechanical building services/MEP design, ideally in a consultancy.
• Experience across energy, industrial and/or commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical building services design on energy, industrial and commercial projects from concept through to completion.
• Represent at client and design team meetings.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, electrical and process teams; ensure QA standards.
