Job summary
Abbott in Ireland is seeking a senior engineering professional to apply machine vision and Cognex Insight/Vision Suite expertise across automated manufacturing lines in Kilkenny. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science is desired.
- 5+ years of machine vision experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Cognex Insight/Vision Suite hardware/software (spreadsheet).
- Experience with optics, lighting techniques, troubleshooting/diagnostics, and vision algorithms interfacing PLC/HMI.
- Cognex Insight/Vision Suite Advanced Spreadsheet Training completed.
- Experience with Keyence Inspection Systems.
- Strong troubleshooting/diagnostics skills.
- Vision algorithm development and interfacing with PLC/HMI systems.
- Broad understanding of optics and lighting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage multiple engineering projects to deadlines.
- Develop and validate automated vision inspection solutions for manufacturing lines.
- Lead technology upgrades and obsolescence projects.
- Collaborate with QA, Operations and Engineering teams.
- Provide vision training for engineering personnel.
