Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a Technical Architect / Lead Developer to join a global Security, Fraud & Payments Engineering team. You will drive architecture, design and implementation across Java/J2EE, Spring Boot and microservices in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, security and operations teams to ensure robust, scalable payment solutions across APAC, EMEA and AMRS.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot and microservices in complex environments.
• Hands-on with Kafka and MuleSoft for integration.
• Experience with Quarkus, Redis, MongoDB and Oracle databases.
• Strong API design and enterprise integration experience.
• AWS, UNIX/Linux and MQ knowledge.
• Experience in solution architecture and SDLC/Agile environments.
• Excellent technical leadership and stakeholder management.
• Banking/Payments domain experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate & Microservices experience
• Hands‑on expertise in Kafka, MuleSoft 3.x/4.x & Anypoint Studio
• Experience with Quarkus, Redis, MongoDB & Oracle
• Strong API, API Gateway, ESB and enterprise integration experience
• Solid AWS, UNIX/Linux and MQ knowledge
• Experience with solution architecture, design, development and implementation
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/TDD, testing and production support
• Excellent technical leadership, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills
• Banking experience, especially Payments or Commercial Banking, is highly desirable.
