Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Primary Design Engineer in County Kildare, Naas. This role involves delivering design solutions for power transmission infrastructure, focusing on HV and EHV substation projects. You will prepare technical specifications and manage the design process while ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least an HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HV and EHV substation design (AIS & GIS) from 132 kV to 400 kV.
• Experience with small, medium and complex new substation projects.
• Knowledge of engineering standards for HV/EHV plant and substations.

Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive design drawings for Grid and Primary substations.
• Prepare technical specifications for electrical plant and associated designs.
• Serve as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for HV and EHV projects.
