Job summary

Permanent TSB is seeking a Lead Financial Accountant based in Dublin with responsibility for external reporting including FINREP, interim and annual reporting, and internal control frameworks within Group Finance.

The role requires a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), 1–2 years post-qualification experience, and a capability to lead a team under tight deadlines. Hybrid working is available from PTSB Head Office, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Strong appreciation of robust controls and governance
• Self-starter able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Team-focused and able to lead by example across bank teams
• Understanding of Retail and Treasury Banking products and impairment/dimension of balance sheet
• 1-2 years post-qualification experience
• Good knowledge of the Irish banking sector

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate a team delivering high professional standards
• Prepare and review FINREP quarterly returns with timetable, templates and controls
• Prepare interim and annual reports, notes for financial statements and liaise with auditors
• Prepare technical accounting papers for Board Audit Committee and ad hoc papers
• Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and ensure timely external reporting
• Coordinate collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data for timely reports
