Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to lead site Energy Management and Sustainability initiatives at our Ireland site. You will develop, manage and execute energy projects, ensure ISO 50001 compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in project engineering within the pharmaceutical sector, strong PMO capabilities, and proven ability to deliver complex capital projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in Project Management, Energy Management, Energy Projects, commissioning and validation, equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead site Energy Management activities and ensure compliance with ISO 50001 and EHS standards.
• Maintain Energy Management at the site and prepare for external audits.
• Promote energy awareness across the organization and monitor energy performance and costs.
• Forecast energy demand for annual Financial Plan and Energy Procurement; report to stakeholders.
• Prepare Capital LRP for Energy Projects aligned with corporate and site strategy.
• Manage PMO processes through planning, execution, budgeting, and completion.
• Collaborate with EHS teams to ensure safe project delivery.
