AbbVie is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to lead site Energy Management and Sustainability initiatives at our Ireland site. You will develop, manage and execute energy projects, ensure ISO 50001 compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in project engineering within the pharmaceutical sector, strong PMO capabilities, and proven ability to deliver complex capital projects on time and within budget.

Maintenance ofEnergy Management at MHR, Sligoincompliance withISO 50001. Preparing forand hosting successfulexternal audits of the Energy Managementsystem.
Promote Energy awareness across the organization.
ForecastEnergydemand profilefor annual FinancialPlanand Energy Procurement.Monitor andreport onenergyperformance andenergy cost improvements (CI)to site andcorporate level stakeholders.
PrepareCapital LRP for Energy Projectsalignedwith Corporate and site Energy Strategy.
Preparation of feasibility studiesfor Energy Projectsand Cost Improvements.
Preparation of Requests for Capital Expenditure (RCE) forEnergy Projects.
Management ofassignedprojects in accordance with the defined Project Management Office (PMO) Processthrough planning,execution, budgetary controlandcompletion.
Collaborate closely with EHS colleagues to plan and safely executeprojects.Ensuring compliance withall EHS & E standards, procedures, policies and safe working practices.
Identify and mitigate all impacts of projectworkwith all stakeholders.
Management and negotiation of external contracts and contractors.
Work withinternal and external resourcestodeliverstrategicinitiatives and goals.
SupportGlobal Engineeringand Sustainability teams to deliver initiatives, projects and targets.
Contribute toGlobal Engineeringand EHSforums,e.g.Energy and EngineeringeCOPs etc.
Ensure a “Right First Time” delivery of assignedprojects.
5years plus of Experience as aProject Engineer
3years plus ofrelevant experiencein the Pharmaceutical Industry
Experience inProjectManagement,EnergyManagement, Energy Projects,Commissioning andValidation, equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
