Lead Electrical Engineer

Our client is a leading global EPCM company with worldwide operations and projects across Ireland. They are currently seeking two experienced Lead Electrical Engineers to join their Dublin and Cork offices, with one position based in Dublin and one in Cork (hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update specifications, drawings, datasheets and schedules to support electrical design activities.
• Design, specify and support procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of MV & LV switchgear, MCCs (conventional and intelligent), VSDs, transformers, UPS systems, generators and power factor correction equipment.
• Develop MV and LV power system designs for industrial facilities.
• Execute projects within a multi-discipline 3D design environment.

• Perform power system studies, including short‑circuit calculations and protection coordination.
• Design electrical systems in compliance with IS, EN and IEC standards, including power, lighting, cabling, containment, structured cabling (Cat 6), fire alarm, earthing and lightning protection.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, including process, piping and mechanical teams, within 3D models.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering; Chartered status is an advantage.
• 10–15 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Experience in pharmaceutical projects is highly desirable; commercial project experience will also be considered.
• Proven experience delivering electrical design within budget, schedule and quality targets.
