Job summary
Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Lead Software Engineer to advance analytics platforms and AI-powered applications within the Analytics Engineering team in Ireland. You will work with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to deliver high-quality code for analytics products and services.
You will help transform health data workflows, design scalable pipelines in Python/PySpark, and contribute to architecture discussions while supporting CI/CD and production operations in a hybrid
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on software development experience.
- Proven experience with Spark, PySpark, and Databricks.
- Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with NoSQL, Docker and Kubernetes helpful.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end software engineering activities including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
- Design, develop and deploy scalable, high-performance software applications and AI-powered solutions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and emerging generative AI technologies to improve design, testing and operations.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD with GitHub Actions and related tooling.
- Create prototypes, proofs-of-concepts and conduct design/code reviews.
