Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Lead Software Engineer to enhance analytics platforms and AI-powered solutions within the Analytics Engineering Team. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality code for analytics products and services.

You will be empowered to apply AI tooling and scalable data pipelines, with a focus on responsible AI, security, and maintainability. The role offers hybrid work between Dublin/Letterkenny and home-based options.

Qualifications

Proven extensive hands-on experience in software development.
Experience with Spark, PySpark, and Databricks.
Experience developing applications on major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end software engineering activities, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
Design, develop, and deploy scalable software applications and AI-powered solutions with responsible AI use.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve design, testing, and documentation processes.
Maintain CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions to build and test artifacts.
Collaborate with architecture, product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities.
Build and optimize data workflows using Python, PySpark and SQL.
