Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to design and implement secure data management systems in the public cloud within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls Data Management team.

You will lead risk-based assessments, guide data protection best practices, and collaborate with data governance experts to strengthen security across cloud environments. Your efforts will help protect data and ensure resilient cloud services.

Qualifications

Demonstrate practical cloud security knowledge across IAM, encryption, network security and logging.
Hands-on AWS security experience with focus on safeguarding data in the cloud.
Interest and experience in Data Analytics & AI/ML including Generative AI and LLMs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution and continuous improvement of information risk and control strategies for Data & AI/ML services in the public cloud
Conduct and oversee risk-based assessments of technology controls for Data & AI/ML cloud services, platforms, and architecture
Advise and guide business technology teams on control requirements and best practices across diverse cloud architectures
Review and provide feedback on infrastructure-as-code for cloud platform development, ensuring alignment with security standards
Develop and maintain documentation, and contribute to agile processes supporting security initiatives
Collaborate with security teams to ensure seamless integration with security operations, threat intelligence, IAM, and network security
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
