Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Cloud Security Software Engineer within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group to design and deliver secure software for Public Cloud environments. You will partner with lines of business to enable controls, automate security processes, and strengthen cloud governance and resiliency.

The role emphasizes building scalable tooling, applying IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), AWS services, and AI-assisted security workflows.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, EKS).
• Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience in enterprise software development, preferably Python.
• CI/CD experience using GitHub and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Engage the full lifecycle of services—from design to production and refinement.
• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software tooling.
• Prioritize and manage project deadlines and deliverables.
• Perform design and code reviews.
• Develop and build solutions for Cloud Environment Governance, Auditing, Monitoring, Remediation, and Reporting.
• Design, develop, and scale services to support growing cloud usage.
• Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate security analysis and vulnerability documentation with proper data handling.
• Apply AI-assisted, reuse-first SDLC practices to strengthen testing, traceability, and resiliency.
