Job summary

Centra Ferns is seeking a Chef to oversee food production, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality products. The role requires leadership in a fast-paced fresh food environment and a commitment to brand values and customer satisfaction.

You will cook, prep and display foods, manage stock, and lead a team while driving cost control and continuous improvements in store operations.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience in a Supervisor/Manager role desirable.
• 2 years+ in a role with in-depth experience to fresh food.
• Experience achieving sales targets and KPIs.
• Fully trained in HACCP and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cook, prepare and display food throughout the day.
• Oversee smooth running of food production operations.
• Carry out stock takes and cost price calculations for portions.
• Assess work organisation and delegate accordingly.
• Finish all orders to the highest standard.
• Attend management meetings and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Assist in induction, training and development of staff in food production area.
• Attend training or development programmes as directed by store management.
