Job summary

Amey in Dublin is seeking a permanent Bridge Engineer to join our Consulting Structures team. You will support the Design Team Leader on a variety of structures schemes and take the lead on projects, mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

Working from our Docklands office, you’ll prepare designs, calculations and drawings, liaise with clients and suppliers, and drive health and safety throughout delivery. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and Chartered status are desirable.

Qualifications

• Leads teams and delivers technically sound engineering solutions.
• Owns preparation and checking of deliverables to required standards.
• Proficient with structural design software and analysis tools.
• Demonstrates commercial awareness and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team, producing technically sound engineering solutions.
• Taking ownership and leading projects from start to finish, from quotation to handover.
• Preparation and checking of designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Overseeing junior staff and mentoring.
• Contributing to bids and work-winning activities.
• Drive Health and Safety practices within the team.
