Optum is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Ireland, part of the Analytics Engineering team within PIDI. The role offers hybrid work between Dublin and a home-based office.

You will lead development teams, architect scalable solutions, and deliver AI-powered analytics applications to support health insights. You will work with Spark, PySpark, Databricks, and major cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) to build data pipelines, deploy analytic platforms, and maintain CI/CD via GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience with NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Proven experience within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical lead guiding development teams.
Lead end-to-end software engineering activities: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment.
Design, develop, and deploy scalable, AI-powered software and analytic platforms.
Maintain CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions.
Create prototypes and perform design and code reviews.
