Job summary

CLS - Complete Laboratory Solutions in Galway is seeking a Lab Aide to provide practical and administrative support, helping ensure safe, efficient operations and compliance with established procedures.

You will prepare workspaces, handle supplies, assist with routine procedures, maintain records, monitor stock, and support staff; a secondary school qualification and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

Essential: Attention to detail, good communication, teamwork, ability to follow written procedures, safety awareness, basic computer literacy.
Desirable: Prior laboratory or healthcare environment experience, relevant lab or science qualification, familiarity with lab equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory workspaces, equipment, materials and supplies for daily activities.
Clean, organise and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.
Assist laboratory staff with routine procedures and sample preparation.
Receive, label, store and distribute laboratory supplies.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Dispose of laboratory waste following safety procedures.
Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE as required.
Support staff with admin and operational tasks.
