Job summary

Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is seeking a TSMS Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of the Technical Services laboratory in Ireland. You will oversee analytical testing, ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance, and supervise staff with KPI reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities include testing oversight, data review, lab safety, equipment calibration, and onboarding/training of team members.

Qualifications

• GMP-regulated lab experience with analytical testing (HPLC, SEC, CE, icIEF, Glycan).
• Data integrity and regulatory standards familiarity (FDA/ISO/USP).
• Supervisory or team-lead experience desirable.

The Role

The TSMS Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation of the Technical Services laboratory, overseeing analytical testing across downstream, upstream, and floor investigation activities. The role is accountable for the accuracy and integrity of test data, compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements, and the supervision, training, and scheduling of laboratory staff. The Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for reporting results to shareholders and study owners, and for maintaining lab readiness for audits and inspections. There is role is also responsible for delivering and reporting of KPI’s and monthly metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Analysis

• Oversee and perform testing of studies for downstream, upstream, and floor investigations.
• Conduct and supervise analytical testing including HPLC analysis, SEC, Reduced and Non-Reduced CE, icIEF, and Glycan analysis.
• Process and manage data and documentation using Empower on Nugenesis (or equivalent LIMS/CDS platform).
• Provide troubleshooting support across all testing activities.
• Lead method implementation for new or updated analytical methods.

Data & Documentation

• Review analytical data, identify and manage corrections, and complete sign-offs.
• Ensure Process Data Integrity Review is carried out in line with data integrity principles.
• Report all results to shareholders and study owners in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage sample tracking and management through Excel and applicable sample management systems.

Lab Operations & Compliance

• Manage inventory of consumables, and oversee ordering of consumables and raw materials.
• Maintain lab safety standards, lead audit preparation, and drive 5S implementation.
• Coordinate sample receipt and shipping, and manage vendor preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Oversee routine equipment calibration (e.g. pH meters, balances) and equipment cleaning (incubators, BSCs, water baths, etc.).
• Maintain lab organization and tidiness in line with 5S standards.

People & Leadership

• Own staff scheduling and coordinate training plans for the team.
• Chair or contribute to daily/weekly team meetings, tracking actions and General KPIs.
• Support bioreactor builds and related upstream activities as required.

Who You Are

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology) or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech laboratory, including analytical testing (HPLC, SEC, CE, icIEF, Glycan analysis).
• Experience with Empower/Nugenesis or equivalent chromatography data systems and LIMS.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team-lead capacity is desirable.
