Complete Laboratory Solutions is seeking a Lab Aide to provide practical and administrative support to laboratory staff, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The role covers preparing and maintaining lab spaces, handling supplies, and assisting with routine activities while upholding established procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary school qualification, strong organisational skills, and the ability to follow written instructions accurately.

Qualifications

• Secondary school qualification or equivalent.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work safely and responsibly in a laboratory environment.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory workspaces, equipment, materials, and supplies for daily activities.
• Clean, organise, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Assist laboratory staff with routine procedures and sample or material preparation, where appropriately trained.
• Receive, label, store, and distribute laboratory supplies and materials.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.
• Dispose of laboratory waste in accordance with safety and environmental procedures.
• Follow laboratory health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
• Report equipment faults, safety concerns, spills, or other issues promptly.
• Support laboratory staff with general administrative and operational tasks as required.
• Participate in relevant training and maintain required safety and compliance standards.
